National Epilepsy Awarness Month

I was diagnosed with epilepsy when I was nine years old. I lived with epilepsy throughout my childhood, but never really understood the condition until I wrote a research paper on seizures during my junior year of high school. Epilepsy was much more complicated and prominent than I thought. I wanted to share what I learned with anyone who would listen. That's why I started advocating for epilepsy awareness, research, and funding.

November is National Epilepsy Month, so I use that as an opportunity to focus on educating people on the disability. In 2019 and 2020, I posted everyday on my Instagram story. Each day had a theme featuring different aspects of epilepsy and seizures.

My themes for 2019 were My Story Monday, Triggers Tuesday, Miscellaneous Wednesday, Types Thursday, and Famous Friday.
My themes for 2020 were Media Monday, Tea Tuesday, Wow Wednesday, Terms Thursday, Famous Friday (part 2), Stats Saturday, and Search Sunday.

Below are a few examples of the graphics I created for the 2020 campaign.
